Jim Rome Clone Report by Greg in Sun Valley

Notes on Today's Show

Funny Comment
Jim commented on Cortland Finnegan saying something to the effect of "...I want to get this off my heart". I believe Finnegan was saying he may apologize to Andre Johnson. Rome said, "...You don't take a beat down like that and not be slightly rattled." I like Jim's use of the term "rattled". If you listen to the full "Toby in Houston/Larry Brown" call on YouTube, Rome says he is "badly rattled" after that call!

New CCA category

Another category was revealed by Jim today. It was "The Drop of the Year".
The nominees are:

-"Ronnie" for: "That's one shot kid. One shot!..."

-"Ron Burgundy" for: "Hey-O!"

-Jim Lampley for: "Bang, bang bang!" (During a Manny Pacquaio fight.)

-Axl Rose for: "Time to die-eeee"

Callers

Deon in Detroit
He cracked on Matt Millen, then ended with, "...If he comes here, it's going to be a short trip to the blood bank, and it's time to die-eee."

Israel in Los Angeles
He called to say how the show has helped him this year during some tough times. He said the time during the show's 3 hours would be "gravy". He also shouted out to Fabian, asking him to hold it down for SoCal-ers.
It wasn't all positive. Israel added that losers were in "NoCal". I presume he was taking a shot at Vic in NoCal.

E mail Contest winner
It was Christian in Nova Scotia. He decried the new "guy"...."E-mail Guy". He was not impressed in the last few days by all the E mailers writing in to prop themselves for "E mailer of the Year."

Scott Brooks
The head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder ended his interview with, "...got a game coming up with Charlotte...anything the clones want me to say to Larry Brown?...." When questioned by Jim, Scott also referenced Toby in Houston.

Text Contest Selections

"War laughing when you see someone slip on the ice."

"War Janet calling in to ask for the Toby call."

Triple U: (paraphrased) "...Did Israel say that the next 3 hours are gravy?...all my time is gravy. Signed, Weigh Stew"

Result: Jim said he was not going to warn or BLOCK the texter...."...What? For being great?" Rome was amused by the term "Weigh-Stew".
