Jim said, "Mike is like the Jeff Spicoli of smack."

Mike called in to accept his award. Many Twitter comments that I saw said this call was better than the one that got him the award. I happen to agree. He started out with, "Romey, I'm freaking out, bro." Addressing the other nominees, Mike said to Jerry in San Antonio, "...mix in some xanax." To Monroe in Milwaukee, "I don't speak Mizzlewaukee." And finally to Israel, "Strong work, homes......I always thought Israel was in the Middle East."

The Giants reliever also called in to accept. "This is ultimately awesome....I don't even know how to react....I'm at Starbucks...," he said in part.

Drop of the Year

Fabian in Los Angeles, for "Youknow Youknow Youknow!"

He called in to accept. He threw in several "Umkay's" and said it was an honor to be a part of the Jim Rome Show.

Manual Buzzer of the Year

Ray Ray in Tampa

In his call to accept, he answered Jim's question of where he would put the award, "MANTLE!" He went on to "explain" his call, saying that he had trouble with his phone, heard two beeps and lost his train of thought. Notwithstanding, Ray said he deserved to get run.

The UFC President called in! He said he was honored and talked about how the UFC is accessable to it's fans.

Song of the Year

Better Man...as performed by call screener and show booker Jason Stewart.

J. Stew came on air and said he was "stunned". He talked some smack, telling Sandstorm artist Darude that if he wants to win next year, "Mix in some lyrics."

Jim accepted the award as the one who did the rant.

Bit of the Year

Brett Favre's playoff interception bit with "Why do you even ponder passing?..and "Hey y'all, watch this..."

Broadcaster Pete Bercich who uttered, "Why do you even ponder passing?" called in.

E mailer of the Year

In the tightest race of the day....Stu in Manhattan won. He sent in an acceptance via E mail. It was straightforward and thanked Jim and the voters. He said he is glad to be a part of the show each day.

Interview of the Year

Bill Romanowski

He called in to accept. He talked about there being a period where he and Jim weren't connecting, but at Super Bowl he made a point of asking to talk to Rome.

Jungle Moment of the Year

Henry Winkler calling in to acknowledge that he did say, "I told Potsie I'd do this!"

Henry Winkler called in to accept! He said he was overwhelmed to know he got 61% of the vote. He recounted the events of the day he called and was very cool.
