Smack Off History
In response to an E mail request from Rick in C Bus, Jim played Jeff in Richmond's Smack Off winning call from 2002. Rome also said it gives new listeners history of the event.
In the call, Jeff self glosses (of course), talks about Tiger Woods, cracks on Silk "Bra", and does a funny Trapper impression.
I am entertained by Jeff in Richmond. I actually prefer his 2008 Smack Off call, though. He shtick is repetitive as is his self gloss. However, he makes me laugh! I was glad he resurfaced late last year. I hope he calls Friday.
Caller
Scotty in Tampa called today. "Vine in the box. Thanks for the pimp," he started in jest. He talked about the "Full blown mutiny" that would take place in Tampa if the Smack Off was pre-empted by the local affiliate.
Two Guys Want In
Roger in Phoenix called in wanting to get in the Smack Off. He said, "I not only can compete. I can beat...Yeah, I am dissing those 'cupcakes'...Be there, be square..."
Rome said, "...You do not have the game to compete with those guys...Those 'cupcakes' and winos still own you, my man..."
Brian in Milwaukee took his shot. He said the legends were "terrible". Of Vic in NoCal, he said, "...That guy...He is on another planet..."
Rome said, "...It's not bad. It was alright...That sure as hell isn't going to get you in."
Vic in NoCal
He said, "...Rome....This is the pre fight press conference. This is the calm before the storm..." He told Brad in Corona that he would only be wearing the crown for 48 more hours. He also imitated Brad "kissing up to Rome". "...Mix in a little dignity and pride...," he added.
More History
Instead of the Text Contest, Jim played the 1998 winning Smack Off call by Stevie from LMU. His theme was "I am not a clone!"
