Jim Rome Clone Report by Greg in Sun Valley

Clones, comments, and moments from today's show

Jim started the show asking for four good calls to come in today....four racked calls. E mail reaction was skeptical that it could happen. Format was broken as Jim took a call in the first segment.

Callers

Monroe in Milwaukee
He called to prop up his Milwaukee Bucks. He talked of their comeback from being down 0-2. He ended with, "Peace, out. Fear the Deer."

1. Jim racked him.

Chuck in the ATL
He cracked on his own: the Atlanta Hawks, while crediting the Bucks for having "pure heart". (A term he used three times)

-Jim said the call was good, but not good enough to rack or be one of the four.

Eddie in Boise
Jim again praised Eddie for his persistence, then took his call. Eddie said a new Smack Off fiscal year has started. He gave a shout out and congratulations to Alvin on the birth of his son. He congratulated Vic in NoCal on his Smack Off win, but also voiced his displeasure.  It wasn't a train wreck, but for some reason the manual buzzer sounded. I'm not sure why.

-Jim said he likes Eddie as a person, but said he is a bad caller. Nothing specific about today's call was referenced by Jim or those that commented by phone or E mail that I heard.

Dave in St. Louis
This frequent E mailer made his return to the phones. He cracked on Kansas City, then put America "on blast" for the success of American Idol and Lost.

2. Jim racked him and said it was a very good call.
(Later, E mailer Mike in Chicago weighed in, saying he is from Kansas City.
It looks like an E mail feud is brewing.)

Israel in LA
This first time caller came in with a lot of energy. He talked about being in church, then proceeded to call out the caller from the Smack Off that cracked on Tim Tebow for his faith. Israel then expressed his dismay at the Lakers bench players. Lastly, he brought up Lisa in Indy. He said he is getting married soon. For some unknown reason, he told the nation that he has bunions and wanted some input on him wearing socks when he begins "wrestling".

3. Jim racked him.

Jim in Salt Lake City
This caller began cracking on Vic in NoCal and asked if he and "Rosemary" had a good time at his Sadie Hawkins dance....AAAHHH! The buzzer fell.

Lisa in Indy
She came in for the 3rd time in the last two weeks. She felt the need to give her measurements and responded to Israel as well as a comment by Dave in  St. Louis.

4. Jim racked her.

Jim got his fourth racked call of the day just before the clock ran out.
