Big show today for football and...J. Stew!
Jim started with the NFL. Browns coach Eric Mangini's QB choice has been found out. Jim Rome said he knew the story would leak. He thought a reporter with connections like Mike Floria or Jay Glazer would break the story. However, it was Buffalo Bills "insider" Terrell Owens. He made it public first on Twitter.

USC vs Ohio State
   USC coach Pete Carroll was on Jim's TV show yesterday. Rome,"I have never heard Pete Carroll talk about a young player the way he does Matt Barkley." Further,"Ohio State needs that game so badly...If USC comes in and slaps them in "the Shoe" with a true freshman at quarterback...I don't think they bounce back from that."

   Rome,"What a spectacular train wreck that's going to be."

Twitter
   Twitter came up because of the back and forth "Twittering" between Shawn Merriman and Tila Tequila that is taking place.

Joe Montana (NFL Hall of Famer)
   Jim asked Joe about the 49ers quarterback situation. Joe acknowleged that Shawn Hill was named over Alex Smith, but felt the team was open to using the guy that best gives the team a chance to win at any time. Jim also asked Joe about his son Nick quarterbacking at LA area powerhouse high school, Oaks Christian. In the conversation, Joe brought up that his other son, Nathaniel is playing JC ball  in LA as well.

Randy Shannon (Miami Hurricanes head football coach)
  He feels the "U" is only on the right track to getting "back". He also spoke about the win over Florida State and individual players on his team.

Troy Aikman (Former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback)
He said he had a different opinion than Emmit Smith about the outlook for the Cowboys this year. Smith felt they were a 7-9 team. Also brought up was the enormity of being the QB at Dallas and if Tony Romo is up to the Challenge. Troy felt he was.

J.Stew and Twitter

Jason Stewart has been Twittering as JaStewart15. The Merriman/Tequila situation prompted Rome to bring up how many Twitter followers J.Stew has. Rome then began prompting the audience to become JaStewart 15 followers. He started at 1400 and something followers and had 2435 by shows end.
