Today on the Show

After previewing today's guests, Jim started with last night's college football game, Miami vs. Florida St. The U came out on top at the end. Rome said,"It brings a smile to my face to say this, but ,'big ups to the U'." Jim said he's not playing favorites. "You've gotta love the U. Even if you hate the U, you've gotta love the U."

Ohio State may have been looking ahead to USC when barely escaping with a win over Navy. Rome said,"They aren't good enough to look ahead."

BYU beats Oklahoma. Jim said it wasn't just because Sam Bradford was injured. He said BYU played them straight up while Bradford was on the field.

NFL
   Richard Seymour is not happy being traded to the Raiders from the Patriots.
Rome's take: Finding out you've been traded to the Raiders has to be the low point in the career of an athlete.

Shawn Merreman incident. Jim took sort of a wait and see stance since he, "wasn't in that house at 3 am."

Old school caller Irie Craig weighed in on race horse Rachel Alexandra's recent amazing win.

   He talked about the win over Oklahoma and the challenge of keeping the team focused after such a big win. Also, he said he scheduled Oklahoma to guage where they were at in their efforts to get back in the National Title picture as the program was in 1984.

Barry Zito (SF Giants)
   Barry talked about the Giants 2nd half run and being impressed with his teammates. He also talked about being able to engage and get along with Barry Bonds.

Lendale White
   Topics were USC vs Ohio State, an E Mailer from C Town that left Rome his address because he wants to fight Lendale, and Lendale's weight loss and getting in better shape.
