Jim Rome Clone Report by Greg in Sun Valley

Friday Format

Today's show

-Jim started with takes on Lawrence Taylor, whose lawyer is denying the rape charges levelled against him. LT's wife is saying he was set up. Jim said he hopes Taylor was set up. If not, "He's one of the worst guys ever."

-JRIB softball team (which Jim wants nothing to do with) is 2-0 and led by Mike (Hah!) Mandt.

-It was announced that Die Hard 5 will be made. Rome: "Stew, turn J Mac (for an interview) or you're fired."

-Jim will be on Jury duty on Tuesday. Jay Mohr will guest host.

Interview of the Week

Holly Robinson Peete
She was on the show today, and was excited and energetic like she has been when talking to Rome. She has been on the TV show "Celebrity Apprentice" competing for money for her Autism charity. Her son has Autism. She told us how her husband, Rodney Peete went into denial when they first got their son's diagnosis, while she went to work to learn and fundraise for Autism awareness and treatment. Both Rodney and Holly have written books on the subject.

My top 5 funniest moments of the week

5. Text sent in on Tuesday: "War me running into the Jungle studios to see if
    I get Tased."

4. Jim chanting "Tase him, Tase him" (ala Philly fan) as he imitated the
XR4ti's desire for him to run Niems on Thursday.

3. John Niems' song performance and the subsequent E mail and text
    reaction.

2. Jay Mohr's call and take on Jaime Moyer's age, "Huh?...Want some hard
candy? I got a lot of change in my pocket."

1. Jim's take on former fill in call screener, Gruce. He started describing
Gruce as 6'9" and 440 pounds. By the time Jim was through, Gruce was
    14'11" and 1020 pounds!

Friday's text contest

No text contest.
Brian in Syracuse did get 2 E mails about Lawrence Taylor read today.
1st: (paraphrased) "Jim, LT's story does not add up. Signed, Javon Walker."
