Jim started by saying that last week it was all about "What it do" (From LaDanian Tomlinsons "Electric Glide" video). This week it's about...(the Brett Favre "Pants on the Ground" cheer was played.)


NBA

Cavaliers beat Lakers

Rome: "...To me it's not so much that the King and the Cavaliers did the Lakers to finish off that 2 game sweep...It's how they did it...by blugeoning them... and considering that it was 'go time' and Kobe Bryant was the only one ready to throw, you know Kobe Bryant is furious! Uh Oh!  KB24 is bent...he didn't let them down. They let him down...Look, despite those 2 wins, I'm not convinced that the Cavaliers are the better team. It's still January. But, ...this I aready know...The Cavaliers are tougher. Definately tougher physically, and they're tougher mentally. The Lakers better address that.

NHL

New York Rangers

About a week ago Jim talked about Washington Capitol, Matt Bradley covering his star teammates back. He jumped in to prevent his star from having to fight.
Rome: "The NHL is governed by codes...You cannot let your star fight...He's too valuable...The stars can't fight!"
Today's story was Marion Gaborik getting beaten down by Philly tough guy Daniel Carcillo. Marion dropped gloves first and had to fight.
Jim said, "That's a big mistake...you can't have that guy fighting." Nobody stepped in. Jim again, "The dishonor is that the Rangers didn't have their star's back..."
