Today in the Jungle - August 11, 2009
The hot topic today on the Jim Rome Radio Show aka "The Jungle" was major league baseball player, Josh Hamilton and the subject of addiction. Recent photos were recently published that are said to show that Josh had a relapse in his fight against addiction.
Fittingly, Darryl Strawberry was on the show as a guest to discuss his book, his fight with addiction, and to comment on Josh Hamilton.
Jim Rome handled the subject with dignity. Although sensitive to the reality of addiction, Jim did point out the need for accountability, as he often does regarding sports figures and people at large. It was pointed out that Josh Hamilton came out and acknowleged the photos without equivocation and took responsibility.
