Another day, another sports figure dealing with trouble. Today's first and prevailing topic, Rick Pitino. The Louisville Basketball coach was accused of rape and paying for the alleged victim's abortion. The alleged incident took place 6 years ago. Pitino had gone to authorities alleging the woman involved was attempting to extort money from him.
Jim Rome's take.....Rick Pitino is guilty....of terrible judgement, whether the incident was consentual or not. Also, Jim spoke of how he felt this would hurt Rick Pitino's "brand" but that he shouldn't, and probably wouldn't be fired from his job.
Line of the Day
"That's menacing!" ...referring to the goatee of Kevin Youkilis of the Boston Red Sox. Jim was breaking down the fight that took place between the Detroit Tigers and the Red Sox. He added that the goatee added 15lbs. to his weight. He jokingly referred to Youkilis as 6 feet, 235 lbs.
