Today on the Show

It was the first day for the program to start at the top of each hour. 12pm Eastern, 9am Pacific, etc. for the beginning and the top of each successive hour.
Michael Vick's 60 Minutes interview and the PGA Championship were the major topics of the show. Jim Rome said that Michael Vick owned up to everything he did wrong and didn't try to spin any of it. Further, Rome's take was that saying all the right things was not enough. Vick is going to have to prove it.
Jim's first word on the PGA Championship, " ...which I thought was incredible." For the first time Tiger Woods lost a tournament after leading going into the last day. The man to beat him: Y.E. Yang.

He has been mentoring Michael Vick. He gave no excuses for Vick, but said that in moving foward Vick has to make the right decisions.

David Feherty
CBS Golf Anylist. He spoke with Jim regarding the PGA Championship

Frank Beamer
Virginia Tech Football coach. He mentioned that despite their preseason #7 ranking, they are a young team. Also, being Michael Vick's college coach, Rome asked him about Vick. Beamer felt Michael was sincerely regretful and wanting to get back on the right track.

Frank Gore
Running Back with the San Francisco 49ers. Gore spoke of working hard in the off season and of his desire and willingness to be a leader on the team.
